DAY 01 LIMA (Perú)
Upon arrival transfer to selected hotel. Rest of the
day at leisure. Overnight.
DAY 02 LIMA
Morning 3-hour city tour including the historical
center of Lima: the Government Palace,
the City Hall and the Cathedral at Plaza Mayor. Visit the Art Museum at the Cathedral
and the 17th century Convent of San Francisco. Before returning to the hotel
short tour of the residential districts of San Isidro and Miraflores. After noon at
leisure. Overnight. (B)
DAY 03 LIMA / CUSCO
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Cusco. Upon arrival transfer to selected hotel. Rest of
the morning at leisure. Afternoon city tour including: the Koricancha Temple or
Temple of the Sun, the Cathedral, the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, the Inca bath
of Tambomachay, the labyrinth of Puca Pucara and the amphitheatre of Kenko.

DAY 04
CUSCO/ Urubamba / CUSCO
Full day excursion to the Sacred
Valley of Urubamba to visit the village
of Pisac and its colorful
market where artisans from the area congregate to seel their crafts. Then on to
Maras, salt production
mines since Inca times. Finally visit Ollantaytambo fortress, excellent example
of military architecture. Overnight. (B)
DAY 05
CUSCO / Machu Picchu / CUSCO
Early transfer to the station on time to catch the
train to Machu Picchu, citadel hidden in the exuberant vegetation of the jungle
from the Spanish expansion and discovered only in 1911 by the American Hiram
BIngham. After 3 hours train ride arrive to Aguas Calientes and bus
transportation to the entrance of the ruins where the guided tour of the Lost City
will start. Buffet lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Cusco. Overnight. (B, L)
DAY 06 CUSCO / PUNO
Transfer to the bus terminal. Departure on touristic
line to Puno. Visit en route the small village of Andahuaylillas
and the remains of Racchi. Lunch en route. Evening arrival in Puno and transfer
to selected hotel (B,L)
DAY 07 PUNO
Full day excursion by boat to Taquile inhabited by a
Quechuaspeaking population that has developed through many generations both an
efficient and original social system. On the way back stop at the incredible
floating islands of the Uros. Lunch included. Overnight. (B, L)
DAY 08 PUNO
/ LIMA
Transfer to the airport visiting en route de ancient
cementery on Lake
Umayo. See the
cylindrical stone chullpas or burial tombs built by pre-Inca civilizations. Flight
to Lima. Upon
arrival transfer to selected hotel. Overnight (B)
DAY 09 LIMA / QUITO(Ecuador)
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for
flight to Quito.
Upon arrival transfer to selected hotel. Afternoon panoramic tour of centre
town declared by Unesco a World Heritage site in 1978 Pass by the Alameda Park
and the Basilica followed by a walk down the street of the Seven Crosses to the
Independence Square where the presidential palace is located as
well as the Cathedral, La Compañia Church and San Francisco Church Overnight

DAY 10 QUITO/ Cotopaxi /BAÑOS
Early departure by car heading south through the
famous “Avenue of the Volcanoes” to Cotopaxi
National Park. The Cotopaxi
volcano is one of the most important landmarks in Ecuador, being the highest active
volcano in the world. Then on to the village
of Baños located at the
foot of Tungurahua
volcano which provides wonderful hot springs. Before arriving visit the
Salasaca Indian community. Overnight at selected
hotel (B)
DAY 11
BAÑOS/ RIOBAMBA
Departure to Riobamba
passing through Ambato and Chimborazo's
National Park on the way to Guaranda. Visit El Arenal to see local vicuñas and
continue on to the shelter for a beautiful panoramic view. Early afternoon
arrive to Riobamba
and after checking-in short walk through the city. Overnight (B)
DAY 12 RIOBAMBA / CUENCA
After breakfast head off to Alausi to board the famous
train to “The Devil's Nose” . Four-hour train ride returning to Alausi mid-afternoon.
(train runs on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday only). Then continue by car to Cuenca visiting en route Ingapirca fortress located at
3100 masl and considered the most important Inca ruins in Ecuador. Early
evening arrive to Cuenca
and to selected hotel. Overnight (B)
DAY 13 CUENCA / GUAYAQUIL
Morning city tour of Cuenca including a walk to the
flower market,the Cathedral, the Calderon Park, La Merced church and convent
among other attractions. Early afternoon departure by private transportation to
Guayaquil. Overnight
at selected hotel (B)
DAY 14 GUAYAQUIL/ HOMEBOUND or extensions. Transfer to the airport on
time for the international flight back home or continue with an optional extension to Galapagos. (B).
